Nerta Foam Cleaner Yellow

Nerta Foam Cleaner Yellow is a powerful high-foaming alkaline pre-wash that produces a thick yellow clinging foam to break down traffic film, road salt, light grease and heavy contamination on cars, vans, HGVs and fleet vehicles before the contact wash.

The strong alkaline formula (pH ~11) delivers heavy-duty cleaning power that pH-neutral pre-wash foams cannot match — the right tool for grimy fleet wash bays, busy MOT bays and motorway-worn commercial vehicles.

This is a concentrated alkaline formula and must be diluted before use.

How to use Foam Cleaner Yellow

1. Pre-rinse the vehicle to clear loose mud and dust.
2. Dilute Foam Cleaner Yellow as required for the contamination level.
3. Apply through a foam lance or foam system from the bottom up.
4. Allow to dwell on the surface for 3–5 minutes — do not let it dry.
5. Rinse off thoroughly with high-pressure clean water before contact washing.

FAQs

Will the alkaline strength strip waxes or sealants if used weekly?
Yes — at pH 11 it is designed to cut through grease and will gradually remove sealants and waxes. Reserve for heavy-duty pre-wash and follow up with a topper if you want long-term protection.

Is it safe on diamond-cut alloys, painted alloys and lacquered wheels?
Painted and lacquered alloys are generally safe at the recommended dilution and short dwell time. Diamond-cut alloys should be tested first — keep dwell short and rinse thoroughly.

Why yellow rather than the pink Active Foam variant?
Yellow signals the strongest cleaning grade in the range — use it where pink Active Foam Pink (pH-neutral) cannot keep up with HGV-level grime.

Can I use it on soft-top fabric roofs or vinyl wraps?
Avoid direct contact with soft-tops and matte vinyl wraps — the alkaline strength can dull or stiffen these finishes. Mask off or use a milder pH-neutral pre-wash on those areas.
